- Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Extremely Rare is a Highland single malt whisky, part of Glenmorangie’s prestige range. It is matured for 15 years in American white oak (ex‑bourbon) casks , then roughly 30% of the whisky is finished for the final 3 years in Oloroso sherry casks before being vatted back together and bottled. Flavour‑wise, it offers rich and rounded notes: honey, dried fruits (figs, dates), marmalade, caramelised orange peel; there’s also creamy vanilla, floral undertones, a gentle nuttiness and a subtle sherry dryness. On the palate there’s sweet fruit and malt, with a smooth texture and a long, complex finish.
